For the third year in a row, Confortel Hoteles today received the "Prize for the Best Stand" in the Companies category at the International Tourism Trade Fair (FITUR), now being held at the Madrid Convention Centre (FITUR). This converts the ONCE (CEOSA) Business Corporation´s hotel chain in the first company to receive this award for three years running.

The Director of FITUR, Ana Larrañaga, accompanied by the President of the of Spanish Travel Agencies Association, José Manuel Maciñeiras, gave this award to top representatives for the chain, CEO Jon Cortina, General Manager José Ángel Preciados, and Business Development Manager Javier Sancho.  

Jon Cortina remarked that Confortel Hoteles "interprets this prize as an acknowledgement by FITUR of our focus on improving and renovating Confortel's presence at the fair."

For his part, José Ángel Preciados assured that the intention of his hotel chain was to present a stand that transmits "Conforte´s transparency, while at the same time demonstrating its elegant, modern, light decorative style. "We wanted to present our company with a design that matched its philosophy of prioritising our attention on people. Our stand transmits simplicity and friendliness, our main values" he added.

The Confortel stand is located in pavilion 10 (stand nº 10D10). The stand is 21 metres long by 13.5 metres wide. Designed by Grupo Plan, with an innovative design which, as in previous years, places more value on the content than the structure itself, that is, it gives priority to the people within, its visitors and friends, etc., the centre point of this hotel chain´s philosophy.

In this 2010 edition, however, the company decided to go one step further, and give its visitors the opportunity to write down their thoughts, which went on to form an integral part of the stand.

Each year, FITUR distinguishes nine stands that are grouped into three categories: Autonomous communities, countries and companies.
