Important archaeological discoveries have been made on this island, with a vast quantity of dolmens, such as the Naveta des Tudons and numerous taulas, which are T-shaped stone monuments. On San Bou beach, there is an early Christian Basilica and the remains of a Moslem fortress at Mount Santa Águeda.
