Fuengirola.Málaga
Fuengirola is on the coastline of Málaga, a city that is also called the gateway of the Phoenicians, which historically was often attacked by pirates. It later transformed into a quiet fishing village and today it is a very important tourist attraction along the Costa del Sol. It is no wonder then, that in 2009 it became the only municipality in Spain in which 100% of its beaches had been awarded with blue flags. It has one of the best seaside walkways in all of Spain. You can stroll down it along the beach for 8 km.
Fuengirola also has its own castle, the Castillo de Sohail. Valuable archaeological remains have also been found on hill the castle stands on.
